“In the days when the seventh angel is to blow his trumpet, the mystery of God will be fulfilled.” From the inevitable fall of Adam and Eve, to God's choosing of Abraham for a special relationship, to the giving of the law on Mount Sinai, to the resurrection of Jesus from the tomb – the strange and mysterious plan of God's salvation is playing out. The final step – the fulfilment – is the return of Christ in glory. We look forward to discussing that in the weeks ahead, even as we look forward to experiencing it at God's appointed time.
Gracious God, keep us under our baptismal seal – the seal of your Holy Spirit. Give us the courage and the words to guide unbelievers to your plan of salvation, and refresh us always with the joy and hope of eternal life, in Jesus' name, amen.
